Amana’s Revised Unit Replacement Limited Warranty (2025+)

If your Amana product was produced after April 2025, the unit comes with a revised warranty. Prior, all equipment when registered had a Lifetime Unit Replacement Limited Warranty. However, after litigation (from what we heard), it was required that the structure be tweaked.

While we are summarizing this warranty, to get the full picture please see their OFFICIAL documentation here: Amana Furnaces, Amana Air Conditioners, and Amana S-Series Heat Pumps / ACs (if you do not see your unit here, you can go to amana-hac.com to see the warranty doc on the equipment’s page)

Shown here, is the 2025 generation Amana Modulating Furnace. A lot of warranty badges show up underneath. While this looks confusing, it all comes down to this:

“Equipment going forward is going to have our base warranty that includes 10 year parts, 10 year unit replacement, and 20 year heat exchanger. The remainder to get to 99 years is done via Amana’s extended warranty program, Asure. We get charged a small fee per unit to register for the extended warranty, and we take care of all of this after installation for the customer.” -Dan C

The main difference is that you cannot utilize a unit replacement more than once past 10 years. That being said, of the literal thousands of Amana products we have installed in the valley, we rarely have to replace the equipment once, and frankly other than maybe one time, we haven’t had to replace equipment twice.

Warranty Limitations

  • The important part of this warranty is that the equipment needs to be registered after installation within a certain time period. We register the equipment as part of our sales and installation process.
  • The warranty is only valid to the original homeowner that bought the equipment. If the house sells, the warranty goes away and reverts to a 20 year heat exchanger warranty.
  • Furnaces, Air Conditioners, and Heat Pumps can only have the equipment replaced once under the unit replacement warranty.

What constitutes a replacement under this warranty?

Furnaces: If we are at your home inspecting the heat exchanger and realize that it has failed (could be in many different ways), we reach out to our distributor and get approval. This process takes us typically under 10 minutes. Once approval is made we can queue your replacement as soon as possible. We prioritize these replacements, and can happen as soon as the same day if our schedule allows.

Air Conditioner / Heat Pumps: If your compressor has mechanically failed, we will reach out to our distributor to get approval. This process takes us typically under 10 minutes. Once approve is made we can queue your replacement as soon as possible. We do our best to prioritize replacements under this warranty.

Are there additional costs involved?

If your replacement is done while under an active Part & Labor warranty, there should be no cost to you for the replacement of a unit. If it is past 10 years, you would be liable for the labor to change the unit.

What voids replacement?

There are things that can void coverage. Like any warranty program, acts of god (natural disasters), floods, electrical surges, brownouts, etc. void the warranty.

If your equipment has been neglected, and the neglect is what caused it to fail. Please do routine maintenance so we don’t have to be having that conversation.

Please see the official documentation links at the top of this page for the list.

Don’t believe the lies.

We have become aware that some of our competition are telling homeowners during estimates that our One Time Replacement Limited Warranty is not true. Either they don’t care enough to learn, or they are being willfully obtuse… If they will lie to you about that, what else are they lying about?

Because we have thousands of units installed in the valley, we have done our share of unit replacements. The approval process is quick, there are no hoops for homeowners to jump through if they are still covered by the warranty. We take care of it all.

In a world where companies try to do everything from actually taking care of you and supporting their product, Amana is here doubling down on the best warranty in the HVAC industry.
